The Super Market is all about bringing together the best artisan food and drink; local artists and designer/makers; local produce, plants and flowers; retro, vintage and collectables and homewares. But it’s much more than a market – it is a celebration of everything great about Frome – a mini festival every month.
We have lots of exciting plans that we will be announcing over the coming months, including pop-up guest markets from other parts of the country, celebrity chef demonstrations, street performers and even a vintage mobile cinema! This is a market with a difference. We would love to hear your comments and ideas so please get in touch.

Based on Stony Street and in the market place this is the original (and still the best) artisan market in the South West. It is a showcase for the rich talents of the artists, designer-makers and food producers living and working in the area. We have everything from jewellery to ceramics; prints to textiles; metalwork to wickerwork. And in addition there’s amazing artisan food including a bakery, cakes, crumbles, cheese, chocolate, poultry, pasta, honey and herbs.
The Frome Flea is a quality second-hand market, with traders selling vintage homeware, clothes and furniture, antiques and collectables. The Frome Flea takes place in the market yard outside the library with a selection of hot food and excellent coffee also available.
Located in the market place at the bottom of Cheap Street, the Farmers Market is all about celebrating local seasonal food. Supporting local producers makes a positive difference to the local economy, guarantees the provenance and freshness of the food you eat and helps to ensure the future of our farming industry.
A high quality general market providing all your everyday needs including confectionary, books, clothes, home-wares, accessories and amazing food to eat now or take home. All with the same strict quality control that makes sure it comes up to the really high standards that you expect. The People’s Market is located at the bridge end of the market place.
The suitcase sale is based on Catherine Hill, in Frome's creative quarter. It is a mixed, small format sale aimed at those people who don't need a large market stall. Traders sell anything that would be acceptable in the other areas of the market; vintage, artisan, local, quirky - but just on a smaller scale. Everything has to fit into a suitcase or a wheelbarrow. It’s all about small but beautiful!
We scour the country for the best markets around and then invite them to do a pop-up market. If you run a fantastic market somewhere in the UK (or further afield) get in touch with us to put in a guest appearance. We will make you very welcome and show you what makes Frome such a great town.
